# Heroes

Players are all human, but they can optionally build companions from heroes. Each hero will have a different ability, such as superior strength in combat, the ability to manufacture faster, or special mining skill. Owning just a hero can limit the resources players could earn, so you should consider how to choose your teammates to optimize the earnings.
